Olga Florenskaya

Olga Florenskaya was born in Leningrad in 1960. She graduated from the Mukhina School of Industrial Design in 1982. She has been a member of the MITKI group of artists since 1985 and is a member of the St Petersburg Union of Artists. She is a painter, ceramicist, and sculptor, and is also involved in literary activity, journalism, and animation. In 1994 she made the animated film STORY ABOUT THE MIRACLE OF MIRACLES. In 2004, together with Alexander Florensky, she made TROPHY FILMS. Works by Olga Florenskaya are to be found in the collections of the Tretyakov Gallery and Pushkin Museum (Moscow), the Russian Museum and the Hermitage (St Petersburg), KIASMA and the CITY ART MUSEUM (Helsinki), the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), the UJAZDOWSKI CASTLE Centre for Contemporary Art (Warsaw), and GRAND VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (USA).
